Virgin Media required UX/UI design for the well-awaited launch of their Virgin TV Anywhere (Tivo) application, which would stream across all devices– desktop, mobile, tablet– for their database of users. Working closely with their Creative Director and UX Lead at their in-house team headquartered in Hammersmith, London, I gained a strong understanding of their interface and consumer needs, familiarized myself with the brand aesthetic, worked with the UX Lead on all IA and UI elements, and created mock designs for seamless user interactions with all elements.
Along with another designer, I rolled out the below interface design based on our approved look, feel and functionality. Sticking with brand's hues of red, while using the logo's swoop motif as a design element in the site's background, I created a seamless experience to watch, save and discover movies and TV shows on the site and in the app. Simple, clean aesthetics with a focus on functionality to drive a content-heavy experience.
Additionally, we decided to go through a design exploration to create an App Store icon for the service. I created a few on-trend sketches (below), playing with different shapes and repurposing the shape of the logo. In the end, we resolved on staying true to the brand by using the Virgin Media logo as is.
